Barnes & Noble outs NOOK Tablet 7 with Google Play Store support

Barnes & Noble isn’t going anywhere and so is the NOOK Tablet series that’s been its main entry into the mobile device game. The latest model is the NOOK Tablet 7 that is so affordable at only $49.99. That makes it a sub $50 gadget that is good enough for digital reading, mobile browsing, simple gaming, and quick mobile computing. The new tablet is ideal for the digital bookworm who is willing to devour any title from the millions of Nook Books available on the company’s vast library. Also included are thousands of NOOK Audiobooks plus newspapers and magazines plus access to the Play Store.

Features of the Android tablet include a 7-inch screen, maximum of 128GB storage with a microSD card slot, quad-core processor, and Bluetooth connectivity. The device will be out on November 25 which is actually Black Friday. It also comes with rear and front-facing cameras and already runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow which means it has Google Play Store support.

This NOOK is the most affordable yet from the company. It’s holiday shopping season once again and Barnes & Noble is glad to be offering this tablet. They’re expecting it will be a bestseller because it’s the “perfect present for everyone in the family, providing access to millions of NOOK Books and a universe of content at an unbeatable price” as per B&N’s Chief Digital Officer Fred Argir.
