Google’s Tango 3D imaging and mapping technology is probably one that you should keep an eye on, because the tech actually has good potential to make it big. The only phone slated to launch with Tango tech is Lenovo’s upcoming Phab 2 Pro, and we didn’t know when it was officially launching until this notification was discovered.
On the Lenovo Phab 2 website (not the “pro” variant), a notification was found on its main marketing image that the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro will be arriving on Nov. 1. That’s just a few days from now, and you should be looking into what this new phone from Lenovo brings. We already had a hands-on with this new phone, if you want to check it out.
Up front, the Phab 2 Pro has a humongous 6.4-inch QuadHD display. The phablet is big, and you’ll probably feel a little awkward holding this up to your ears to take or make a call. The screen is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and supported by 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage.
We already have a feel for this large phablet, but it will be nice to see what kind of augmented reality performance we can get out of this device. Hopefully, more Tango apps can make purchasing this a rational decision.
