Xiaomi is set to launch another phone in the form of the Mi Note 2. We’re sure about this because the Chinese OEM already announced the event and everyone is invited. It will an FB event so more people can tune in and see Xiaomi unveiling the new product. The teaser ad says something about the Mi Note 2 being “curved to impress”.
There’s a reference to two-sided dual curves so this will have that dual edge display screen. But then again, the dual curves could also mean the front screen and back panel—although that may not be really impressive.
Apart from the invitation, we’ve seen another set of leaked information about the new phablet. Some PowerPoint presentation surfaced online and listed there are the specs and features such as a 5.7-inch AMOLED screen with Force Touch display, 1440 x 2560 resolution, quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB built-in storage. When it comes to the imaging tech, there’s an 8MP selfie camera plus a dual camera system with 12MP and an 23MP cameras bearing a Sony IMX318 and IMX378 sensors, respectively.
The phone is said to feature a 4100mAh battery that is able to give longer battery life. It’s already a great feature but the Quick Charge powers will allow it to be juiced up all the time or as quickly as possible. Other specs include an iris scanner and NFC connectivity. Pricing is set at $415 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB model.
