Sony first launched the Concept for Android initiative for Swedish users last year. It was born out of the necessity to ensure products and services are good and ready for public release. It’s more like a beta or developer preview, allowing anyone to see if and how a device or system works. Such were released for a few models like the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact, Xperia Z4 and Z5 in Japan. This time, Concept for Android is launching for the new Xperia C.
Sony Xperia X owners in Europe will be happy to know that the concept software is ready for them in the region. It’s a crowdsourcing program were consumers can try different ideas, experiences, and witness innovation unfold all within the Xperia community.
Sony listens to customer feedback and looks at real-time usage data so people are provided only useful features and more responsiveness. With the latest Sony’s Concept for Android, customers are given a glimpse into the future Xperia products, Android 7.0, Nougat, and Sony’s inTouch community.
The Android 7.0 Nougat adds better notifications and multi-window support plus access to software engineers with inTouch. All Xperia X users in Europe are free to download the ‘Concept Installer’ app from the Google Play Store.
